New Class Announcement: Foundations of Mindfulness

Foundations of Mindfulness
A Journey into Mind, Body, and Heart

6pm - 7:15pm
Benji Salon and Spa

Mindfulness is a time tested and scientifically verified method for helping us synchronize our mind, body, and heart. Originating in India some 2600 years ago and serving as a foundational practice for Buddhism, it has gone on to establish itself firmly in our secularized Western culture due to it’s reliable and profound ability to help us remain anchored more firmly in the present moment. As a result, we are able to connect more fully to our inherent strength, stability, and clarity; which we can then bring to every other aspect of our lives.

In this course, students will be taken through a series of core teachings which are geared toward helping them create a consistent and self-sustaining practice. Attendees are expected to practice one session of sitting meditation for at least five days out of the week during the four weeks. Each class will have a lecture portion, practice period, and group discussion. This is a wonderful opportunity for anyone interested in this practice to receive an authentic transmission of the method from a well-versed practitioner who has been immersed in this world for well over three years.
